Before you schedule a charter, please review these terms thoroughly. By reserving a charter with EquitableAccessCenter, you are consenting to this refund policy.

Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule

More than 72 Hours Before Charter

100% Refund

Qualified for: Total refund excluding service fees

Processing Duration: 5-7 business days

Service Charges: €50 for credit card transactions

Requisites: Must be issued in writing through email or phone communication

24-72 Hours Before Charter

50% Refund

Applicable for: Half of the total price of the charter

Processing Span: 7-10 working days

Service Fee: €25 subtracted from the reimbursed amount

Terms: Legitimate rationale needed; admin cost applies

Less than 24 Hours Before Charter

No Refund

Eligible for: Non-refundable

Exemption: Urgent cases might be taken into consideration

Alternative: Credit for a future charter may be granted at the discretion of the management

Requirements: Documentation necessary for emergency circumstances

Weather-Related Cancellations

Our Commitment to Safety

Prioritizing safety, should the conditions be considered unsafe for sailing by our certified captain, we present several alternatives:

  • Complete Reimbursement: Provided in full if it's not feasible to reschedule
  • Rebooking: Transfer your booking to another date free of charge
  • Credit for Charter: Issue a voucher valid for one year from the original booking

Assessment Procedure for Weather

We take into consideration the following in our weather analysis:

  • An evaluation of wind intensity and direction
  • Assessment of wave heights and marine states
  • Forecasts for visibility and precipitation
  • Notices and alerts from the Coast Guard
  • Professional judgement of the captain regarding safety

Decision Timing: Decisions on weather cancellations are final no more than 4 hours ahead of the planned departure.

Medical Emergency Refunds

Criteria for Urgent Situations

We comprehend that urgent medical issues can occur. Given conditions may qualify for unique considerations:

  • Immediate hospitalization due to sudden sickness or injury
  • Loss within the immediate family
  • Deployment or emergency call for military service
  • Subpoena for court or call for jury service
  • Significant natural events impacting travel

Requirement for Documentation

Supporting documentation is required to process requests in emergencies, including:

  • Evidence from healthcare providers or hospitals
  • Certificate of death (when relevant)
  • Orders for military assignment
  • Notices of court summoning or jury summonses
  • Emergency declarations or travel alerts

Procedure: Emergency reimbursement requests are handled within 3-5 working days once appropriate documentation is submitted.

Operational Cancellations

Mechanical Downtime

If mechanical issues arise that cannot be resolved on your designated vessel:

  • Substitute Vessel: An effort will be made to supply a comparable substitute
  • Full Reimbursement: Should no appropriate substitute be available
  • Partial Reimbursement: If the substitution vessel offers different rates
  • Compensation: Additional reparation might be provided for the inconvenience

Crew Nonavailability

In exceptional cases of crew unavailability:

  • If possible, a replacement crew will be arranged
  • Total refund should the charter not be able to proceed
  • Opportunity to reschedule without any extra fee

Refund Processing

Method of Payment

Refunds will be reverted to the original payment mode provided at booking:

  • Credit Cards: Within 5-7 working days
  • Wire Transfers: Within 7-10 working days
  • Physical Currency/Cheque: Within 3-5 business days

Fees for Processing

Handling of Credit Cards

€50 surcharge for cancellations executed beyond 72 hours prior

Processing for Bank Transfers

€25 charge for all refunds through bank transfers

International Transaction Handling

Supplementary charges may be imposed for international operations

Credits for Charter

Issuance of Credits

Credits for future charters may be provided instead of refunds under certain conditions:

  • Cancellations made with insufficient notice (less than 24 hours)
  • Aborted charters due to weather
  • Elective requests to change reservation dates
  • Disturbances in operations

Conditions for Credits

  • Duration of Validity: 12 months from date of issue
  • Exchangeability: Credits are not exchangeable between individuals
  • Monetary Worth: Corresponds to the entire cost of the charter (exempting processing fees)
  • Application: Applicable to any upcoming charter availability
  • Expiry: Extension beyond 12 months is not authorized

Compensation for Partial Services

Interruptions in Service

If your charter experiences an interruption or gets abbreviated due to factors under our control:

  • Refund proportional to the unutilized duration
  • Credit that matches the unused value for a future charter
  • Additional services or upgrades complimentary

Disruptions Related to Guests

Should the charter come to a premature end due to guest misbehavior or breaches of safety:

  • No reimbursement for the time not used
  • Full charge for the booking still applies
  • Possible extra costs

Settling Disputes

Disagreements concerning refunds can be addressed by:

  • Seeking a reassessment from our management team
  • Presenting supplementary evidence or records
  • Turning to consumer protection bodies for solutions
  • Pursuing legal avenues as permissible by prevailing laws

  • Time and date of the intended charter
  • The cause for discontinuation
  • Relevant supporting papers (as necessary)
  • Chosen method for the refund transaction

Step 3: Evaluation and Action

Our team will confirm receipt of your petition within a day, assess it against these standards, render a verdict within two days, and carry out approved returns as per the allotted timelines.

Critical Reminders

  • All applications for reimbursements must be provided in written form
  • Reimbursements are concluded in €, unlinked to the initially used currency
  • Acquiring travel insurance is earnestly advised
  • Notice will be given 30 days in advance for any adjustments to this policy
  • Refunds comply with the taxed and legal stipulations applicable
